DISCOVER THE HEART of the Hudson Valley at Christopher Jacobs Winery at Pennings Vineyards, a family farm winery rooted in tradition and passion. More than a winery, Christopher Jacobs is a family-run farm business built on dedication, hard work, and a love for the land. Located in the beautiful Hudson Valley winemaking region of New York State, the vines at Christopher Jacobs Winery have been thriving since 2006, and their doors have been open to the public for over 10 years.

What started as a dream has grown into a vibrant vineyard where tradition meets innovation. They cultivate a unique combination of vinifera and hybrid grape varieties, carefully tended by hand and guided by years of experience. Today, they are proud to produce six distinctive wines, each one crafted to reflect the character of the land and the spirit of their family. And they’re just getting started—more wines are on the way!

Parents can relax with a glass of wine while kids delight in pony rides, lawn games, and tasty offerings from food trucks.

At Pennings Vineyard, it’s not just about great wine, it’s about creating memories that linger long after the last glass is poured. The venue offers a warm, rustic, and family-friendly atmosphere where guests can relax, reconnect, and soak in the beauty of the Hudson Valley. They host a welcoming space that includes a spacious outdoor bar and expansive picnic areas, including a scenic upper level perfect for soaking in vineyard and mountain views. A cozy indoor seating area accommodates up to 80 guests—complete with a stunning live-edge oak bar that seats 10.

A six-foot-wide fire pit, lit on cooler days and evenings, adds the perfect touch of ambiance, and classic lawn games like cornhole are always ready for friendly competition. New this year, an expanded indoor space means the fun continues rain or shine, making every visit more comfortable and accessible.

MEET THE WINEMAKERS

At the heart of this husband-and-wife team is Monica Pennings, the driving force behind the winemaking. With hands-on experience working alongside seasoned local winemakers, years of self-study, and a relentless curiosity, Monica brings both art and science to each bottle. “I learn something new about the craft of winemaking every single day,” she says. “But more than anything, I’m passionate about agritourism, hospitality, and the joy of creating something people love.”

For Chris and Monica, the magic lies in the full journey—growing the vines, making the wine, and sharing it with people who leave smiling. That’s the soul of Pennings Vineyard.
