Slate Point Meadery
The partners of Slate Point Meadery started experimenting with mead five gallons at a time back in 2010. After countless days of experimentation, research, planning, strategy, and focus, the owners of Slate Point Meadery found themselves in a position to join the revitalization of the mead industry, bringing to the public this unique and delicious beverage. The founders are proud to represent the Hudson Valley and New York State in this growing revolution, while supporting local and state businesses, agriculture, and the community.
While traditional mead has often been considered a heavy and sweet after-dinner beverage, Slate Point Meadery focuses on lighter, session style mead with lower alcohol content and semi-dry profiles, even including some carbonated canned mead. It’s time to clean the slate
and rethink mead.
While the meadery distributes to some local establishments in Dutchess County, they also
have a small tasting room in an industrial complex of Pleasant Valley. Visitors are encouraged to check the spmeadery.com website for updates and contact email@example.com for
tasting information and learn more about this exciting beverage.
