CLOVER POND VINEYARD is a family-owned and operated estate vineyard that grows, produces and bottles all of their wines. The farm is comprised of 100 acres of vines, fields, and rolling hills with a view of the Helderberg mountains. Since 2014 Clover Pond Vineyard has cultivated just over nine thousand vines on sixteen acres of vineyard.
How did the vineyard get started? Joyce and Jim grew up in Guilderland, NY, and after moving back a few years ago were looking for something to do. Joyce has a green thumb and can grow anything, and Jim likes to buy tractors, so growing a vineyard on their 100-acre farm seemed like a perfectly sensible idea. The name 100 Acre Wood also seemed to fit perfectly. They met another couple, Gerry and Mary Barnhart of Victory View Vineyard in Easton who became their mentors. One hundred vines turned into 2,000, then 4,000, then 9,000 and there was no looking back. The winery and tasting room were recently awarded Best New Construction 2022 by the Guilderland Chamber of Commerce.

MEET THE WINEMAKERS
Clover Pond Vineyard believes in letting the natural terroir, flavors, and character of each year’s grape harvest shine through in every glass.
Careful vineyard management, minimal processing, and a balanced approach to winemaking are essential. It takes time, patience and hard work, but the winemakers believe the results speak for themselves and can be enjoyed in every bottle.
