HV WINE AND FOOD FEST WELCOMES
HUDSON VALLEY WINE MAGAZINE

Despite the impending storm from hurricane Hannah on Saturday, the turnout at the 7th Annual Hudson Valley Wine & Food Fest on September 5 and 6, was more than impressive. With over 5,000 attendees sampling wine and food with enough fervor to beat the storm, Hudson Valley Wine magazine joined the participating Hudson Valley wineries with a booth amid the bustling crowd. Sunshine and over 10,000 visitors followed on Sunday.   Forty wineries from throughout New York State poured plenty of wine throughout the weekend, and among them one could find some of the winemakers featured in the Premiere Issue of the magazine – Maryl Vogel, winemaker at El Paso, George Cafiero of Cascade, Dominique and Carlo De Vito of Hudson-Chatham, Ken Lifshitz of Silver Stream, as well as the folks from Benmarl and Brotherhood, among others. With tote bags already laden with purchases and free “swag” from other vendors, many attendees still couldn’t resist picking up their free copy of HVW to read back at home. We were pleased with the overwhelming response to the magazine and welcome those who signed up to receive these updates from time to time. The yearly event is one not to be missed, and what better way to promote Hudson Valley Wine magazine than at the much publicized Hudson Valley Wine & Food Fest. Thanks to Michael Babcock and Susan Valentine for the warm welcome and for a very successful event.
