PARTITION STREET WINE SHOP WELCOMES
HUDSON VALLEY WINES

Another successful event celebrated the launch of Hudson Valley Wine magazine in Saugerties on August 16, when four wineries participated in a wine tasting at the boutique Partition Street Wine Shop owned by Jordan Balsamo and Suzanne Wald. From 3-7 pm, over 150 locals dropped in to taste wines from a region that many had never heard of – the Hudson Valley. With over 10 cases sold in just a few short hours, the hot wines of the day included: Ghent Blush from Hudson-Chatham Winery, Benmarl Winery’s Baco Noir, Bashakill Vineyard’s Black Bear and “Rock ‘n Roll Red” by newcomer Cereghino Smith. “Again, we were surprised by how few people know about the wineries that exist within their own county,” remarked Robert Bedford, Executive Editor of the magazine, “It’s great to be able to hand people a publication that actually opens their eyes to something new in their world of wine.” With over 17 Hudson Valley wines to choose from, there was something for almost everyone’s palette. Many thanks to Jordan and Suzanne for hosting a very tasteful event.
